Move Forward Pilates Foundation
Helping Disabled U.S. Military Veterans Rebuild Strength, Confidence, and Purpose Through Reformer Pilates
What We Do
Move Forward Pilates Foundation provides structured reformer Pilates programs designed specifically for disabled U.S. military veterans. Through guided movement, professional instruction, and a supportive community, we help veterans rebuild strength, restore confidence, and move forward with purpose.
Military service places lasting demands on the body and mind. Many veterans experience long-term physical strain that can affect mobility, posture, stability, and overall wellness long after their service ends.
Our programs focus on safe, guided movement using reformer Pilates — a low-impact method that builds strength, improves balance, and supports functional movement without high stress on joints.
Move Forward Pilates Foundation does not provide medical treatment or rehabilitation services. Our work centers on structured fitness, education, and community support designed to help veterans improve quality of life through movement.

Why It Matters
After military service ends, the physical demands placed on the body do not simply disappear. Many disabled U.S. military veterans continue to experience mobility challenges, chronic strain, and limited access to wellness programs designed for their needs.
Move Forward Pilates Foundation exists to change that.
Through accessible, veteran-centered reformer Pilates programs, we provide structured movement that helps rebuild strength, stability, posture, and functional confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Each session is guided by trained instructors who emphasize thoughtful progression, encouragement, and accountability.
But our impact extends beyond physical wellness.
Through our Instructor Training Pathway, we help veterans transition from participants to leaders — developing professional skills, earning certification support, and building meaningful civilian career opportunities in the wellness field. This pathway restores not only strength, but purpose.

HOW YOUR SUPPORT HELPS
Your support makes these life-changing programs possible.
Donations fund accessible classes, specialized equipment, instructor training opportunities, and the supportive environment veterans need to rebuild their strength and confidence. Volunteers help expand our reach, provide mentorship, and ensure that no veteran has to navigate recovery alone.
When you support Move Forward Pilates Foundation, you are not funding a typical fitness class — you are helping veterans regain independence, restore confidence, and create sustainable futures.
Movement becomes momentum.
Support becomes opportunity.
And veterans move forward.
FOUNDED IN SERVICE - BUILT ON PURPOSE
Veteran-Led. Mission-Driven. Community-Focused.
Move Forward Pilates Foundation was founded by Dr. Kimberly “Safari” Brown-Mason with the steadfast support of her husband, Eric Mason, Sr.
Dr. Brown-Mason is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and former senior federal executive with more than 25 years of leadership in public service. Throughout her military and federal career, she witnessed firsthand the long-term physical demands that service can place on the body.
After retiring, she became a certified reformer Pilates instructor and recognized the powerful role structured movement can play in rebuilding strength, stability, posture, and functional mobility.
Eric Mason, Sr., a retired U.S. Army veteran, serves as partner, advocate, and operational support in advancing the foundation’s mission.
Together, they established Move Forward Pilates Foundation to create a pathway for veterans to rebuild strength, restore confidence, and rediscover purpose through guided movement.
Move Forward Pilates Foundation represents a continuation of service — serving those who served by helping veterans move forward physically, personally, and professionally.
